Auskids Learning welcomes the Council of Australian Governments initiative of providing a national learning framework for all children in early childhood education and care settings. The Council developed the Framework to assist educators to provide young children with opportunities to maximise their potential and develop a foundation for future success in learning.

The Framework forms the foundation for ensuring that children in all early childhood settings experience quality teaching and learning. It has a specific emphasis on play-based learning and recognises the importance of communication and language (including early literacy and numeracy) and social & emotional development. The Framework has been designed for use by Educarers working in partnership with families; children's first influential educators.

The Councils' vision for children's learning is that "All children experience learning that is engaging and builds success for life". The Framework is fundamentally characterised by belonging being, and becoming. Even before birth, children are connected to family, community, culture and place. Their earliest development and learning takes place through these relationships. As children participate in everyday life, they develop interests and construct their own identities and understandings of the world.
